Surry Community Health Center is located in the foothills of the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina. Mount Airy, NC – known to locals as “Mayberry” – is home to Northern Regional Hospital, which is located less than 3 miles from our facility. We are also in an ideal location to accept referrals from Atrium and Novant hospital systems. Surry is perfect for all residents’ need

Wanda, Steven, and Brigitte had a wonderful time taking in the scenery alongside our team, making it a refreshing and joy-filled outing!

🐾 Special Visitors!

We were thrilled to welcome Michael Rivers and his animal companions! 🐰🦜 Gabby Sue the parrot and Mr. Dillon the rabbit brought so much joy as residents, staff, and guests enjoyed learning about Michael’s mission. 💙

As the founder of DV Farm, supporting disabled veterans experiencing homelessness, we are so grateful for his visit and the meaningful experience he shared. 😊

💙✨ Therapy Success Story

Help us celebrate our resident Verlie, who made an incredible journey with us! 🙌

When she first arrived, she needed assistance with transfers, daily activities, and walking. Through determination, hard work, and faith, she is now able to do these independently and has returned home with her family this week! 🏡

We are so proud of her dedication and progress. Way to go, Verlie! 😊

The Easter Bunny made its annual visit, bringing smiles all around! 🐣✨

Our egg hunt was a big success. Congratulations to Resident John for finding the golden egg and winning the grand prize! 🥚🏆

🐾 A Purr-fectly Special Day!

Resident Bonnie is all smiles after officially gaining full custody of her three beloved cats, thanks to our in-house “Cat Lawyer” (aka Admissions Coordinator), Kristie Brady! 😄🐱

With custody papers drawn up and even “notarized” with a special seal, Bonnie was overjoyed knowing her furry companions would always be by her side. Kristie shared, “This might have been my favorite day here, getting Bonnie to smile so big!”

Moments like these remind us how important it is to make our residents feel safe, seen, and truly special.💙

🌸💙 Creative Easter Fun!

Help us give a very special thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Peg Benninger, for stopping by to help our residents create these beautiful Easter wreaths! 🐣✨

Everyone had such a lovely time adding baskets, bows, and their own personal touches. Harvey chose a bright yellow border with lots of greenery, while Shirley went with pink accented by white bows, each one as unique as the person who made it! 😊
