What began as the "Pink Ladies," distinguished by their pink coats in the 1950s & 60s, has grown into a diverse volunteer force of men, women, and students over the years.

Our volunteers are the backbone of Northern Regional Hospital, assisting with everything from patient transport and gift shop operations to flower deliveries and resident visits. No matter the task, they are there to help.

While our receiving and distribution systems look a little different today, efficiency and organization are even more of a primary focus.

In managing every piece of equipment that comes into our facilities, from pens to life-saving medical equipment, they ensure everyone has exactly what they need, when they need it. They keep our hospital running smoothly so we can keep our community healthy.

Sixty-nine years later, and tulips, among many other blooms, still line our main campus.

Our Maintenance team works tirelessly to ensure our grounds are warm, welcoming, and well-kept for all to enjoy. One of the most transformative additions to Northern was the Healing Garden. A space for patients, visitors, employees, and Skilled Nursing residents to enjoy the sunshine, fresh air, and flowers right outside our doors.

Before Northern opened The Surgery Center in 2009, did you know the operating rooms were previously located near the Education Classroom in the front of the main campus building? Many of these rooms still boast the original tile walls, along with other features, although the rooms have now been repurposed for other uses.

A surgery at Northern today looks quite a bit different than it used to, thanks to significant advancements in surgical technologies and modern medicine. Still, our commitment to your care remains the same.
