To all those who are furloughed, working, or at home without pay. I can only imagine how frustrating and heavy this must feel, having to work without pay or waiting at home without income. No, it’s not fair, and it’s okay to feel tired, upset, angry, and discouraged, but please know that God sees your effort and your heart. He has not forgotten you, even when it feels like everything is standing still. I’m praying that God’s peace covers you, that his provision shows up in unexpected ways, and that this difficult season soon gives way to restoration and relief. Hold on! Better days are coming! 🙏🙏❤️

It’s OK to acknowledge your feelings/emotions! One must feel and deal in order to heal. All emotions, be it good bad or indifferent, should be acknowledged. Sometimes we as people of faith will not acknowledge an emotion if it is not positive. But how will you conquer what you will not confront? 🤔 Talk therapy! Finding solutions to life challenges

Symbolic grief/symbolic loss is real! I had two clients reach out at 6:30 this morning for sessions today because they are grieving what their ears and eyes have heard and seen these last 24 hours. If you are feeling some type of way, processing is in order. Be intentional! As Dr. Cheryl Hardy would say, feel, deal, heal! Your emotions are valid, but processing is essential for your healing!

The holiday season can be a very difficult time for those who are grieving. While others are celebrating and feeling festive, grief can feel even more isolating and overwhelming. Often, loved ones, friends, or those in your community or circle may not fully understand the depth of your sorrow. During the holiday season, connection is needed more than ever. The need for connection becomes even more important. It is crucial to acknowledge and witness grief, as it is best processed when it is acknowledged. Everyone has a unique story, and it is essential to provide a genuine invitation to share it. When someone feels that their story has been heard and understood, it can help to ease their emotional burden. Grief shared is grief abated.
