After losing a loved one, many people hear the phrase, "It gets better." from a friend who has also lost a loved one at one time or another.
Many condolences are meant to show that they understand, and give hope to those grieving, but sometimes they don't actually help and may even have the opposite effect.
Avoid these condolences:
