⚠️ Parent Alert: The Hidden Danger of Button Batteries in Toys

As the holidays approach and new toys come into our homes, it’s important to remember a serious safety risk many don’t think about: button batteries.

These tiny batteries—found in toys, remotes, musical cards, key fobs, and more—can cause life-threatening injuries if swallowed. When a button battery gets stuck in a child’s throat, it can cause severe burns in as little as 2 hours.

Protect your kids:
🔹 Check all toys and household items for accessible button batteries
🔹 Ensure battery compartments are screwed shut
🔹 Store loose batteries out of reach and sight
🔹 Seek emergency care immediately if you suspect a child has swallowed one—don’t wait for symptoms

A simple check today can prevent a tragedy tomorrow. Stay safe and keep our little ones protected. ❤️

🚫🛣️ December is National Impaired Driving Prevention Month! 🛣️🚫

Teens, remember: making smart choices behind the wheel can save lives — yours and others’.
Even a small decision, like getting in a car with someone who’s been drinking or using drugs, can have life-changing consequences.

Tips to stay safe:
• Always plan a safe ride home
• Never drive after drinking or using drugs
• Speak up if a friend is impaired — your voice matters
• Use rideshare, taxi, or a trusted adult

Being a responsible driver isn’t just smart — it’s heroic. Keep yourself and your friends safe this holiday season and every day!
