We all want the assurance that the very best health care will be available when our family, our friends, or we ourselves need it. Berry and the people of our community have played a
major role in helping Macomb County’s own Martha T. Berry Medical
Care Facility evolve from a humble, 100-bed hospital to a
beautifully renovated,state-of-the-art, 217-bed skilled nursing
facility. Martha T. Berry is proud to be considered a “safety net”
within the community because of the care provided to vulnerable
residents who might not otherwise be able to afford skilled nursing
services. The majority of funding the facility receives for patient
care comes directly from Medicaid.

Last week, the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility hosted our annual Christmas dinner for residents and their families — a tradition the Foundation is honored to support year after year. Members of the Martha T. Berry Foundation Board proudly served alongside staff, sharing meals, stories, and smiles.

We are deeply grateful to the incredible Martha T. Berry team — especially Stephanie Hazel, whose heart brings every detail to life, and Kelly Rule for keeping everything running smoothly.🎄

One table in particular stayed with us: four remarkable women, each with her own story, strength, and s***k, sharing a meal together. Their families had visited on other days, but that evening, we were their family. Moments like these remind us why connection and community matter so deeply.

These interactive tables aren’t just games… they help reduce restless behavior by up to 32% for seniors living with dementia, and they spark the kind of smiles that stay with you. Since 1950, Macomb County has stood by its most vulnerable residents — and we exist to ensure that legacy of care continues for generations to come.

Because someday, it won’t just be “someone’s loved one”…
It could be ours.

Thanks to generous supporters, we’ve been able to make real, meaningful impact — like purchasing a new transportation bus so wheelchair-bound residents can safely enjoy outings, appointments, and community events. 🚐✨
