We are so grateful to the Foundation for helping make a beautiful three-season room possible, a space where residents will soon be able to enjoy the changing seasons, spend meaningful time with friends and family, and feel truly connected to the world around them.

Today, we officially cut the ribbon on something so much bigger than a bus.

This new resident van represents freedom.

It represents connection, joy, and the ability for our residents to continue living full, meaningful lives.

Because at the Martha T. Berry Foundation, our mission has always been simple: to bring dignity, purpose, and experiences back into everyday life for the men and women who call this facility home.

Happy National Pet Day 🐾

Today feels extra special because we get to celebrate something that brings so much joy into our residents’ lives — our partnership with Macomb County Animal Control through our Martha’s Mutts Program.

These visits aren’t just adorable… they’re powerful.

For individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or Dementia, something as simple as petting a dog can:
• spark memory and conversation
• reduce anxiety and agitation
• lower stress and blood pressure
• bring a sense of calm, comfort, and connection

And in a medical care setting, those moments matter more than we can put into words.

You can literally feel the shift in the room... smiles get bigger, laughter gets louder, and for a moment, everything feels lighter.

We are so grateful to continue bringing these meaningful experiences to our residents. Because it’s not just about care… it’s about connection, joy, and quality of life 💛
