Did you know our Outpatient Therapy Clinic at Waterman Village offers Lymphedema Therapy? There are only a few clinics in Lake County that provide this specialized service—and we’re proud to offer it right here on campus.

What is lymphedema?
Lymphedema is chronic swelling caused by a disruption in the lymphatic system. It can occur after surgery, cancer treatment, injury, or vascular conditions. Early intervention can help reduce swelling, improve comfort, and prevent progression.

Our Lymphedema Therapy services include:

· Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)

· Compression wrapping

· Compression garment fitting

· Education and self-management training

· Individualized treatment plans

The Waterman Village Veterans Group met today to hear resident Don W. talk about his experiences with The Villages Honor Flight program. The Villages hub is comprised of Marion, Lake, Sumter, Citrus and Hernando counties. The hub provides veterans with cost-free day trips to Washington D. C. to visit the memorials, focusing on specific areas to honor local heroes. The missions are 100% funded through donations and fund raisers.
