The Waterman Village Veterans Group met today to hear resident Don W. talk about his experiences with The Villages Honor Flight program. The Villages hub is comprised of Marion, Lake, Sumter, Citrus and Hernando counties. The hub provides veterans with cost-free day trips to Washington D. C. to visit the memorials, focusing on specific areas to honor local heroes. The missions are 100% funded through donations and fund raisers.

Did you know that the Outpatient Therapy Clinic at Waterman Village is open to the public and offers Lymphedema Therapy? There are only a few clinics in Lake County that provide this specialized service.
What is lymphedema?
Lymphedema is chronic swelling caused by a disruption in the lymphatic system. It can occur after surgery, cancer treatment, injury, or vascular conditions. Early intervention can help reduce swelling, improve comfort, and prevent progression.

• Education and self-management training
