🙏I hate to sound like a skipping record, but I request your continued patience. Thank you to everyone this week who may have had a slightly longer than expected visit or missed call!

Madelyn was supposed to return from her honeymoon this week, but, as a mother, has made the decision to keep her son out of childcare and off the school bus, so going back to work full time was not the right choice for her at this time and she will not be returning.

Emily is doing her best to recover and take care of our baby while helping answer calls and messages from home, and I am in the office by myself for the time being. Office hours will continue to be 9:30-3:00, Mon-Thu, the remainder of October and we will resume normal hours November 3rd. I am on call at all times, regardless, and we will have a new receptionist/MA joining us in the next week or two once we iron out details.

I know some of you have been waiting and I am happy to say that we are now In-Network with Cigna!

(for those of you waiting on Molina, it's been over a year with no signed contract! 🤯 Our credentialer can't get an answer and I asked if we could just start over and they said no, because that would cause errors in their system. So I still recommend just switching to a different Medicaid if you want to be seen here. November is open enrollment, so anyone can switch. We are in network with Ohio Medicaid: Anthem, Buckeye, CareSource, and United Healthcare but not Molina, Humana, or AmeriHealth Caritas. The number to call is 800-324-8680).

Latest update: No baby, yet. If our little one doesn't decide to come before this Friday, 10/10, Emily is going to be induced (just timing, nothing wrong). That being said, the office will be closed this Friday, either way (I'm still on call if urgency arises), if not sooner. I will post immediately if something changes. If all goes well, the office will be back open Monday on a limited schedule through the end of October. It will just be Madelyn and myself, so, again, please be patient ☺️

IMPORTANT UPDATE: As most of you know, Emily and I are expecting a sweet baby girl 👼🏼 in the next 3-4 weeks. Obviously, we don't know the exact date, but I will post here as soon as we do. I will take 2-3 days off when the baby arrives (assuming no hiccups), so there may be some appointments that need to be shuffled. We've been trying to schedule accordingly in October in anticipation of her arrival, but I'm sure there will have to be a few things moved around. Then, once she is here, I will only be in the office afternoons for 3-4 weeks, but on call at all times, as always. There may be some things I manage by phone or messaging more than usual, or there may be a few extra referrals to urgent care if necessary (but I always try to avoid that as much as possible!)

We have a new team member in the wings, which I will announce in a couple days, but she has prior engagements and will be out the week of 10/4.

We will do our VERY BEST to man the phones and keep things running as smoothly as possible in office, but PLEASE, bear with us during the month of October! (and possibly the end of September or early November depending on when she decides to join the outside world)❤️

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist to become part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

•Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner

•Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff

•Answer phones with a smile and eagerness to help

•Accept and post payments

•Triage/schedule patients, build charts, scan/fax records

•Ability to memorize shot schedules, Insurance list, etc.

•Communicate with insurance companies and billing team for proper billing procedures

•Escort patients to exam rooms

•Obtain vitals and history

•Administer vaccines

•Daily cleaning of office

​Qualifications:

•Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields highly preferred but not required.

•Familiarity with medical billing procedures

•Strong organizational and multitasking skills

•Ability to thrive and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment

•Our insurance contracts require CMA Certification for CMA duties; Current CMA certification preferred, but if not currently certified, must be willing to complete classes and obtain CMA within 3-6 months of employment. ​​​​​

•Proficiency in keyboard typing is MANDATORY.

$37,000 - $43,000/yr starting salary
Salary based on experience and certifications with bonus potential and performance-based raises.

36 hours per week required (Occasional mandatory meetings over lunch or at the end of half-day Fridays)

2 week's (10 business days) personal time off per calendar year (pay included in Salary), no accrual

Good morning, all! Sadly, Jessica will not be returning to the office. We wish her strength and luck, and offer prayers for whatever she faces! Please bear with Emily and I as we cover her position, especially this week, Morrow County Fair week, as our girls are in 4H and will need help at fair. Hopefully, we can fill Jessica's position before Emily has the baby or I will be in for quite a ride on my own 🤷🏻‍♂️
