⚠️ Raw truth — this might sting.

I see a lot of people complaining about the government shutdown and food stamp benefits being cut off, but not many of those same people are doing anything besides posting and complaining.

If you actually want to make a difference, prove it.
🛒 Donate food, hygiene items, or a few dollars.
🚗 Volunteer to pick up or hand out supplies.
📣 Or at the very least, share posts about food pantries, meal giveaways, and community resources — because someone out there might see it and finally get the help they need.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about humanity — about standing up for each other when times are tough. We’re supposed to be Americans, neighbors, a community.

If you want to do something real, come down on Wednesday around 3:00 PM to help us set up and hand out food and essentials to families who need it.

Let’s stop complaining and start showing up. ❤️

I will not be at the shop today. I had too much at home to do to get caught up from recuperating from my surgery and injury. However, I did want to mention that we are doing another community meal Wednesday, November 12 at 4 o’clock. We still need donations lots of donations and it’s come to our attention that personal hygiene products are really needed as some folks are having to use their cash money to buy food as they’re not getting EBT. So deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, female, hygiene, products, like tampons, and pads, and of course food, we have a refrigerator so we can store some cold goods and if you cannot get stuff to us, we will take monetary donations and do the shopping for you. Thank you so much. 
This poor jack-o’-lantern has gone to the jack-o’-lantern graveyard. I thought he was cute.

Community Update & Call for Support
On Wednesday, we were able to serve around 50 households — providing each with a few meals, some extra items, and a hot meal to go. We’d love to do it again next week, Wednesday, November 12, but we’ll need all the help we can get.

If you can’t go shopping but would like to help, monetary donations are welcome — we’ll use them to purchase supplies. If you’d prefer to donate food or other items but need help getting them here, let us know and we can arrange for pickup.

We’re doing our best to support our community and pay it forward during these difficult times. No one — especially children — should be going hungry. Please consider donating food, funds, or pet supplies, as many families are struggling to feed both themselves and their beloved pets.

We can also use volunteers to help pack and distribute food boxes. Every helping hand makes a difference.

Thank you all for your continued kindness and generosity. Together, we can keep our community strong.
