Mount Kisco CBT Dr. Rachel Gerstein is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Dr. Gerstein is the founder of Mt Kisco CBT.

She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based treatments. She has expertise in the treatment of anxiety, mood, personality and behavioral problems. Dr. Gerstein works with adolescents and adults, for whom she offers individual, family, and group therapy. She has been trained by experts in the fields of CBT, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Dr. Gerstein received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University in 2010. At the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Gerstein worked with Dr. Aaron Beck, the founder of CBT. She completed her doctoral dissertation on the development and course of bipolar disorder in adults. Dr. Gerstein completed her pre-doctoral internship at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Gerstein completed her postdoctoral fellowship at The Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (CCDBT), and continued there as a Staff Psychologist until 2015. Dr. Gerstein has received extensive training in DBT for self-injury and borderline personality disorder, as well as prolonged exposure for PTSD. She also led trainings on using Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP) for treating OCD. Dr. Gerstein is an adjunct clinical supervisor at Yeshiva University where she supervises psychology graduate students. Dr. Gerstein is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, the New York Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Association, New York State Psychological Association, and the Westchester Psychological Association.
