Don’t despair if you were unable to schedule a Coronavirus vaccine appointment or didn’t get a favorable date. Vaccine supplies will certainly improve in the not too distant future allowing more slots to open earlier. Keep checking the various sites regularly as I have heard many stories of success through persistence as this occurs. I would especially suggest the sites of Virtua at the Moorestown Mall, Rowan College in Sewell (Both mega sites), Cooper at Camden Co. College in Blackwood, and Riverside Urgent Care locations Cherry Hill and Willingboro. Finally a phone number has opened in NJ to assist with scheduling (see below). The state still is unable to tell my office when we will receive our approved shipment of Modern vaccine. Stay tuned.

I got the Pfizer Coronavirus vaccine yesterday. So far so good. The data on the currently available Covid vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna are excellent. Their efficacy is around 95% after two doses. Thus far the side effects for most have only at times been some aches, fatigue, and perhaps low grade fever for 24hrs. Serious side effects have been rare. Experts believe that significant side effects for the longer term should be extremely unlikely. I highly recommend it. It is our path back toward normalcy. Our office has completed all the paperwork to attempt to acquire a supply. It is now up to the state and Dept. of Health. I will certainly alert all of my patients when and where the vaccine is available locally and for whom.
Happy and Healthy New Year to you and your families!
