Great to see so many organizations gathered at the ACAR 4th Annual Reentry Summit in Allegheny County, all focused on creating stronger pathways for individuals returning to the community from incarceration.

Before that day, addiction had taken nearly everything - her stability, her sense of self and the future she once imagined. She describes a period of homelessness, isolation and simply trying to survive each day.

But one friend refused to give up on her.

Meet Charles "CJ" Hunnicutt, Counselor at Recovery Works London, KY!

Recently celebrating 19 years of sobriety, CJ brings both lived experience and professional expertise to the clients he serves every day. His own recovery journey fuels the empathy, understanding and authenticity that define his work.

Since joining Pinnacle last year, CJ has continued to grow in his work as a clinician, earning his LCADC independent licensure and now working toward his LCADC-S.

Known for his dedication, CJ often goes above and beyond - working after hours and on weekends to make sure patients get the support they need. His commitment reflects the heart he brings to this work and to the individuals and families who rely on our care.
