Her dedication has been recognized with multiple awards, including a Hero of the Quarter award, the Linda Siessel Award, and, together with her office, a Top Dove Office award.

Beyond her responsibilities, Tara’s impact shines through her ongoing commitment to people and community. She consistently coordinates support for families and field staff, organizing meals, gift cards, and holiday gifts that reflect her clear sense of purpose in serving others.

The Autism Society of Hawaii recently hosted a special morning of play at the Sensory Friendly Fun Factory, and our BAYADA Maui, HI team was honored to volunteer. Our team had a wonderful time building connections, sharing smiles, and having fun with the community.

Our BAYADA Pediatrics teams from Winston-Salem, NC and Greensboro, NC came together for the 3-2-1 Deacon Dash 5K for Down Syndrome, joining families, friends, and advocates to celebrate and support individuals with Down Syndrome. They had a wonderful time running, jogging, and walking alongside the community in honor of inclusion and awareness.

We’re grateful for our BAYADA teams for going the distance to support this important cause and for living out our commitment to compassionate, community-based care.

Sean joined BAYADA last April after completing a Home Health Aide (HHA) 101 course offered by our Wilmington, NC office. His reliability, compassion, and consistency in picking up extra shifts so families can keep important out-of-town appointments led to his nomination and recognition with a Hero Award in his office division.

BAYADA Director Felicia shares that what stands out most about Sean is how person-centered and creative he is in caring for his client with autism. She says, “Sean doesn’t see tasks, he sees a person.” Sean has empowered his client by teaching him modified fishing and disc golf, and by turning therapy into “Story Time with POTUS” and “Surfing Safari.” His client’s mother has shared that Sean’s innovative care has transformed her son’s quality of life and given their family greater peace of mind.

We’re honored to celebrate JD, Licensed Practical Nurse, whose courage and compassion embody the BAYADA mission in every home they visit.

JD shared what it meant when their BAYADA team fully affirmed who they are:

“I have been blessed with very kind and accepting clients who welcomed me into their homes just as I am. I was offered acceptance and understanding and encouragement, something I had been hiding from without knowing that was what I would receive. I will never be able to express how grateful I was at that moment.”

JD’s story is a powerful reminder that when clinicians are supported in showing up as their authentic selves, they’re able to create safe, trusting spaces for the people they care for. We’re grateful for JD’s leadership, advocacy, and the compassion they bring to our clients, colleagues, and community every day.

Over 140 BAYADA advocates joined hundreds of others in Harrisburg, PA, for Pennsylvania Advocacy Day. Together, they gathered with a shared purpose: to keep the voices of caregivers, clients, and their families at the center of every conversation.

They met with state legislators to advocate for increased reimbursement rates for Direct Care Workers (DCWs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) across Pennsylvania. They shared how our caregivers and clinicians are at the heart of helping our clients stay healthy and remain safe at home.

We are so grateful for all our BAYADA advocates who joined Hearts for Home Care alongside the Pennsylvania Homecare Association, bringing their passion to creating meaningful change for our clients and caregivers.

BAYADA Licensed Practical Nurse Lauren, Clinical Manager April, and Recruiter Samantha from our BAYADA Pediatrics, Williamsport, PA office recently attended the Loyalsock High School Career Event. They connected with seventh-, ninth-, and eleventh-grade students to share the importance of community, leadership, and compassionate home health care.

Thank you to Loyalsock High School for welcoming our team and to our amazing BAYADA colleagues who represented us at this event. We look forward to watching these students grow and hope some will consider a future career in home care.

"Flexibility showed up for me in a very real and human way when my son became seriously ill. In that moment, everything else faded into the background, and I needed to step away without knowing exactly when I’d be able to return. My manager didn’t just understand—she encouraged me to take the time I needed and made it clear that my only priority should be my son’s recovery. There was no pressure, no guilt, and no countdown clock. I was told to come back when he was fully recovered, and that level of trust meant everything." – Rennie

When life demanded more at home, more than once, Rennie was supported by her manager and team, who met her situation with compassion and understanding. Instead of asking about work, they asked how she was truly doing. The flexibility her team provided during those moments reminded her of how powerful empathy can be in the workplace, especially for women who carry multiple caregiving responsibilities at once.

Director Jennifer and Clinical Manager April recently attended the YWCA Northcentral PA Women’s Empowerment Conference. This event brings together women from across the community for a full day of learning, collaboration, and empowerment.
