They also have in-depth knowledge of handling workers’ compensation and motor vehicle injuries. On-site diagnostic testing includes X-ray, electromyography (EMG), and nerve conduction studies. Coastal Spine begins with conservative treatments, including physical therapy, medication, trigger point injections, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. Cutting-edge therapies for nonresponsive conditions include epidural steroid injections and radiofrequency ablation. In severe cases, Coastal Spine’s experienced surgeons do advanced surgeries, including cervical discectomy, anterior lumbar total disc arthroplasty, transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion, and thoracic fusion. These procedures are done at the practice’s nearby spine surgery center or a local hospital.
