SMP SCAM WATCH. Don't trust your caller id. If someone calls claiming to be from your doctors office and asking for your Medicare or Social Security number. Hang up it could be a scam. Use the phone number you have for your doctor and call them to see if they need your info. Normally you give it to them while you are there. Call the Tennessee Senior Medicare Patrol at 1-866-836-7677 or SHIP 1-877-801-0044 or locally 931-379-2927

Watch out for emails saying you have won a Medicare kit! These emails might look like they are coming from recognizable places but they are scammers trying to get your information. They want you to click links in the email. Please delete any emails that claim you have won anything to keep safe.
