Last we discussed the most common cause of infertility in women. So this week we’re going to dive into the men! 💙

The most common cause of infertility in men is varicocele. This is a condition where enlarged veins in the sc***um (the bag of skin that holds the testicles) can increase the temperature of the testicles, which can impair s***m production.

Some other common causes of male infertility include:
🧠 Hormonal imbalances
🧬 Genetic disorders
🦠 Infections
☁️ Environmental factors
🍺 Lifestyle factors: (e.g., smoking, excessive alcohol consumption)
🩻 Anatomical abnormalities

If you think you may be having issues pertaining to your reproductive health always talk to your doctor. Or book an appointment with us via www.adorefertility.com or by calling us at (843) 990-4500

"If I could give Dr. Cox and her team 100 stars, I would. After undergoing my first IVF cycle at another practice, I scheduled a second-opinion consultation with Dr. Cox. Within an hour, I knew transferring my care to Adore was the right choice. Dr. Cox provided exceptional clinical insight paired with genuine empathy and consistent encouragement. Her staff is equally impressive…warm, personable, and truly invested in.." says Kaitlyn on Google

"We’ve been with Adore Fertility since 2022, and I can’t say enough about the compassion, patience, and positivity the entire team has shown throughout our IVF journey. As a scientist by training, I tend to ask a lot of detailed questions and Dr. Cox has always taken the time to listen thoughtfully and provide clear, research-based, and fair-balanced answers to help guide our decisions.

For those unaware, October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. It is a time dedicated to honoring the memory of babies lost to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant death, and to support the families who have experienced this type of grief. May we take this time, and every other day to remember the precious babies who reside in our hearts🤍

"A Journey Filled with Hope, Support, and Heart – Thank You, Adore Fertility
From the moment I stepped through the doors of Adore Fertility, I knew this place was different. I wasn’t just a patient — I was seen, I was heard, and most importantly, I was understood. This journey with infertility is one that can feel incredibly lonely, overwhelming, and terrifying, especially when you're dealing with diagnoses like.." says Devin on Google

IT’S TRUE…
the idea of initial consultations and first appointments can be scary. A lot of the time you aren’t exactly sure what to expect, or if you’ll have enough time to explain yourself, or ask the right questions.❓

All being completely valid concerns.

That’s why at Adore we value our initial consultations. Whether those consults be just one patient or couples seeking care; each and every encounter is treated with the same importance. ♥️

Prior to any initial appointment a full history is taken on each patient and/or couple. From there that information is reviewed personally by Dr. Cox and our clinical team. Once getting the chance to speak to patients one-on-one Dr. Cox is then able to develop a treatment plan that she believes would best serve your fertility needs.

As a clinic we truly value these appointments, as they give us a chance to truly see our patients. We get to hear their needs and desires. And from there we are able to build a treatment plan and relationships that best serve the patient and their needs.

Until the end of October we are still running our special for initial consultations. They will be $100 dollars for initial consultations, and FREE second opinions. If you’re interested or in need of an appointment please reach out via our website or feel free to call our office to set up an appointment! 💰

If you’ve been on any type of social media platform you know this weeks topic is that of Acetaminophen use in pregnancy. 💊

What better way to address this topic and the questions surrounding it than a Q & A for Dr. Cox herself! Check out her response to if she advocates for the use of Acetaminophen during pregnancy.

As always we recommend always consulting your provider and directing any personal questions to them!
