As the holiday season quickly approaches may we take a moment to selflessly reflect on the emotions of those trying to conceive during this special time. 🍂

Holidays, specials events, and even family gatherings can be very hard for those trying to grow their family, A time where so much joy and gratefulness is expected can be very hard for those who haven’t had their miracle yet. So, may we remember be extra considerate and understanding of their feelings, possible grief, and overall journey during this time of the year.

Thinking of what we say and discuss could be all the difference in giving someone solace and peace during this season. 🧡

Last we discussed the most common cause of infertility in women. So this week we’re going to dive into the men! 💙

The most common cause of infertility in men is varicocele. This is a condition where enlarged veins in the sc***um (the bag of skin that holds the testicles) can increase the temperature of the testicles, which can impair s***m production.

Some other common causes of male infertility include:
🧠 Hormonal imbalances
🧬 Genetic disorders
🦠 Infections
☁️ Environmental factors
🍺 Lifestyle factors: (e.g., smoking, excessive alcohol consumption)
🩻 Anatomical abnormalities

Did you know that for women the most common cause of infertility are ovulation disorders. These disorders, such as PCOS, can cause irregular release of female eggs. And without an egg, there is no opportunity for conception.
