Nicole Burkhard brings such great energy to everything she does. She’s lively, positive, and always shows up ready to start the day with her consumer. She does an amazing job encouraging her to work toward her goals, supporting her choices, and helping her believe she can do anything she puts her mind to! Nichole handles situations calmly and communicates really well. Everywhere she’s worked, I always hear how well she connects with each consumer. The parents of her main consumer have even shared they don’t want to lose her, and that says a lot. Thank you, Nichole, for being such a bright light and such a great DSP. We’re lucky to have you!
Barbara Mori is a wonderful addition to our team and truly deserving of this nomination. She is kind, compassionate, outgoing, and consistently goes above and beyond to engage with the consumers she supports. Barbara takes the time to get to know her consumers, focusing on promoting their independence and helping them achieve their personal goals. She is extremely motivated, hard-working, and dependable in everything she does. Caring for others comes naturally to Barbara, and she builds strong, trusting bonds that make a meaningful difference every day.
Carol Purdy has been an incredibly consistent and dependable caregiver over the past year. The consumer’s family describes her as reliable and steady, and her commitment truly shows in the quality of care she provides. Recently, Carol also assisted with car training for a new staff member, who shared that Carol was amazing with the consumer and did an excellent job training. Thank you, Carol, for your dedication, teamwork, and the positive impact you make every day!
Devin Schneller works in the Lansing area and is truly wonderful with the consumers he supports. He is highly engaging, dependable, and has become a positive and consistent role model in their lives. The family has shared how much they appreciate him and how much they look forward to spending time with him.
Devin goes above and beyond to ensure his consumers get the most out of their respite services. He plans meaningful, active experiences such as sledding, trips to the park to play soccer, and attending holiday events, always focusing on inclusion, fun, and personal growth.
