We’ve created Keto Hope Family Support, a private Facebook group where families navigating epilepsy and the ketogenic diet can connect, share experiences, and support one another.

Our hope is that veteran families feel encouraged to share what they’ve learned, and newer families feel welcomed, supported, and less alone.

When your child gets sick on keto and your brain immediately goes… 😳

“They didn't eat everything!”
“Do I check ketones?”
“Is that medicine sugar-free?”
“WHY does this always happen at 9pm?”

We’ve all had that moment.

That’s exactly why we’re holding our Keto Hope Community Roundtable — a real, honest, podcast-style conversation with families who have walked through it.

🎙 First Topic:
What to Do When Your Child Is Sick on Keto

Hosted by Keto Hope support family alumni, this session is designed to feel like you’re sitting around the table with people who truly get it. We’ll share personal experiences, what worked for our families, and lessons learned along the way — and we invite you to chime in with yours, too.

📅 March 4th, 2026
⏰ 8:00 PM ET

Because sick days are stressful — but you don’t have to figure them out alone. 💜
✨ Important: This is peer support only. We will not be providing medical advice. Always check with your child’s medical and keto care team for guidance specific to your situation.

These roundtable sessions are for families, hosted by 1–2 Keto Hope support family alumni, and designed to feel more like a podcast-style chat than a presentation. Think: honest conversation, practical tips, and space for you to chime in with your own stories, questions, and ideas.

Our Story

Our story began in 2014 when our daughter Rosemary was diagnosed with a rare form of epilepsy at four months old and we watched as medications failed to control her seizures. Working with our doctors we soon met Laura Dority, a registered dietitian, who introduced us to the the ketogenic diet as a treatment option. We started Rosemary on the diet and were amazed when her seizures were completely controlled within weeks. She has remained seizure free ever since! The success we experienced on the ketogenic diet inspired us to team up with Laura and form the Keto Hope Foundation. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to families with children on the ketogenic diet as a treatment option for pediatric epilepsy. We are committed to advancing the success of the ketogenic diet by supporting families, expanding nutritional options, and providing educational opportunities to healthcare professionals and families alike. Let us know if we can help you!
