Every smile has more than one path. In collaboration with Central Michigan Orthodontics, this patient elected to reposition teeth first to address a constricted chewing pathway.

Then, we designed the final outcome, evaluating how the smile fits in the face, proportion and balance.

The diagnostic wax up wasn’t a preview, it was the decision point.

The final results followed the design.

Deliberate by Design.

This case didn’t move forward the way we initially expected. During the consultation and design phase we realized that starting points needed to change.

Instead of forcing a timeline, we paused- refined the foundation- and let the functional and esthetic design guide the rest.

The most important decisions aren’t made with a drill. They are made before it’s even touched.

The road less traveled.

In an age of speed and instant solutions, this case requires patience.

During the design phase with and , we recognized that moving forward immediately would require aggressive and unnecessary tooth preparation and reduction. So, we chose a different path.

We were able to refine the foundation and create tooth position and space that doesn’t require any preparation.

It wasn’t the fastest option, but the right option.
