This is Levi.

A respected union foreman.
A father. A son. A brother.
A man with a good heart.

Then addiction entered his life.

He fought. He completed an 8-week program. He tried again. I visited him in sober living and saw his smile. We had hope.

On April 13, 2025, we lost him to a fentanyl overdose.

Addiction does not discriminate. It can take anyone. Any family.

On March 13, 2026, we are honoring Levi at Talucci’s Bakery with Community Pasta Night — raising awareness and supporting long-term recovery so another family gets more time.

All proceeds will go to Steadfast Recovery Ministries local to Summerville and is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax-deductible, a faith-based men’s long-term recovery home founded by Brock and Lauren. Steadfast provides structured sober living, accountability, mentorship, and Christ-centered support after short-term rehab — the critical next step that helps men truly rebuild their lives.

Lauren and Brock will be there that evening to share about the mission and the lives already being changed.

In our hearts, we believe that if we had found Steadfast after Levi’s 8-week program, it could have made the difference.

If one life lost can help save many more, then Levi’s story will continue to matter.

Last night, business partners Wade Boals and Brett Yearout generously hosted a dinner at Saltwater Cowboys for our guys.

Both Wade and Brett serve on the SRM Board of Directors — they have faithfully served this ministry and continue to serve by giving their time, knowledge, and resources.

In December, Saltwater Cowboys hosted a fundraising evening for SRM and last night we were presented with the funds raised from that night. The guys were treated to an excellent meal and together with the men, Wade, Brett, other board members, and family, we fellowshipped and enjoyed a memorable evening.

Thank you Wade and Brett for your servant hearts and steadfast leadership. And thank you to the incredible Saltwater Cowboys team for your service to SRM. We are endlessly grateful.

When we say this program is designed to break down walls and build trust, the assignment is the sledgehammer. Trust is built when the house speaks over their housemate after a presentation. Whether it’s calling their brother out on their blind spots or offering real truth to someone who’s lived under false beliefs about self and situations or trauma. In these meetings, the men feel seen, heard, and accepted. When we feel accepted, it’s easier to trust those around us. We cannot change the past but we can erase false beliefs by replacing them with life-giving words of encouragement and biblical truth.

Giving honor where honor is due — We are excited to share with you that Jacklyn Talucci, Talucci’s Bakery has graciously agreed to chair the SRM Campaign Cabinet. This committee is comprised of local leaders who are dedicated to helping SRM grow and thrive this year.

Our friendship with the Taluccis formed last year when they learned about SRM and started serving dinner at the SRM house. Since then, they have dedicated their time and resources to this ministry.

Thank you Jacklyn and Charles for being a steadfast part of our mission.

From here on out, SRM will be riding in style thanks to Austin and Allyson Thornton with Companion Associates!

We are incredibly honored to share with you that SRM now has a passenger van to transport our residents. This answered prayer could not have come at a better time for us. We’ve been searching for a van and trusting the Lord would provide as He always does.

Austin Thornton of Companion Associates serves at Vice Chair of the Board and has remained deeply committed to seeing this ministry thrive. Over the past year, his steadfast leadership and willingness to step in where needed have played a significant role in helping SRM grow. From offering strategic guidance to personally investing his time, energy, and resources, Austin has been instrumental in moving the mission forward. We are blessed to call the Thornton family friends of SRM.

This passenger van is a game changer for us and represents more opportunity and the ability to better serve our residents. We are incredibly grateful to Austin and Allyson’s generosity, faithfulness, and belief in what God is doing through SRM.
