With so few athletic performance opportunities for Delta Plus athletes this past year, hopefully posting about the first Delta Plus athlete is a harbinger of new sports life (for our athletes and us as fans (fanatics?!?!?) for 2021-22!!! Congratulations to Andy Hatch, embarking on his coaching career- currently on his internship at the University of Iowa- whose men's squad just won the Big 10 Indoor championship! The women's squad battled hard and took 3rd! What a pleasure to watch our athletes move on to share their character and grit with their world!

The 2019-2020 track season is underway!!!! Delta Plus Elite Track Club alum Alex Navin opened his Junior campaign for Carroll University at UW Oshkosh yesterday competing in the 60m dash and running a leg on the 4 x 400 relay.

The current group of Delta Plus Elite Track Club (High School) athletes open their club campaigns next Saturday at the Rockford ( IL) Fire Indoor Invitational. We have several veterans returning and quite a few new faces anxious to show what they can do!!! Check back next week for results!!!

Congratulations to Abby Martin, Delta Plus Elite Track Club alum, redshirt freshman at Michigan Technological Institute, for her 25:02.3 6k run at the Michigan State University Spartan Invitational Friday. Her performance should place her on the Michigan Tech 'A' squad for tge rest of the season! Well done, Abby!

Congratulations to Delta Plus Throwers program, UW Whitewater and Racine Horlick graduate Mike Aiello for completing his first summer of (minor league) professional baseball! Mike joined the Saint Paul Saints of the American Association of Professional Baseball in July as their bullpen catcher, then finished the season as the backup/ dugout catcher. The Saints won the league championship over the Sioux City Explorers last night!!!!

Congratulations to Mike Aiello for his professional debut last night versus the Fargo- Moorhead Red Hawks: base hit in his first at bat on his way to 2 hits and 2 runs, contributing to the St. Paul Saints' victory.

Congratulations to Delta Plus Thrower's Program, UWWhitewater and Racine Horlick (2013) alum Michael Aiello on being called up to the St Paul Saints Minor League baseball team!!! The definition of Delta Plus character and grit, Mike now gets to be paid to play baseball. The Saints will be playing in our area yet this summer, with 'away' games against the American Association of Professional Baseball's Milwaukee Milkmen and Chicago Dogs!!! May this be the first step in your professional journey Mike!!!

Delta Plus Elite athlete Eddie Neubauer continues to improve his placings during his rookie USXC season, taking a third place in the pro- open category at last weekend's event at Warroad Minnesota. Keep it up, Eddie, we're looking forward to seeing you take your first checkered flag!
