Many people think events cause trauma and PTSD. If this were true, anyone who experienced any traumatic event would have PTSD. However, only about 40% of people who experience these events have PTSD. What really causes PTSD is our response to these events emotionally and cognitively. If you are experiencing PTSD from trauma, we can help.

It's getting to that time of year when the sun goes away in southwestern Pennsylvania and won't come back until May.

At least it seems that way.

We have less days of sun than anywhere in the continental US except for Seattle.

Many people are sensitive to light. A lack of sunlight causes depression in many people and people who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder or Bipolar Disorder are especially sensitive to a lack of sunlight.

If you feel depressed during the winter, more than others, it may be a sign of a more serious issues. Give us a call. We can help.

We take most major commercial insurances like Blue Cross/Blue Shield, UPMC, United, and Cigna as well as many EAPs and cashpay.

We do not take state insurances or Medicaid/Medicare at this time.
