COVID-19 UPDATE from Vista Linda Eye Care (April 2, 2020)
As of Tuesday evening, March 17th, the CDC has recommended that all routine eye care be deferred until further notice, in order to slow the transmission of COVID-19 through our community.
In light of this, the office will be operating on an appointment-only basis. We will be available to help you with emergency care issues as well as to help you other business matters. What does this mean?
1) Routine vision exams will postponed until the STAY-AT-HOME order is lifted. If you are scheduled for a routine eye examination, we will reschedule your appointment for some time after this.
2) If you need to replace glasses or contact lenses and need an extension on your prescription, or you need to pick up glasses or contacts or for any other needs, please call us at 847-253-2100 and leave a message. Messages will be checked at the beginning of each business day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and we will return your call as soon as possible to make arrangements.
3) If you have a medical issue which would require an office visit, we will schedule a phone, email or virtual consultation with our doctor. The consultation must be initiated at your request. If this is an emergency that requires immediate attention, contact your primary care physician or call 911.
4) If you feel sick or your symptoms are worsening, call ahead before visiting your doctor’s office or emergency department and tell them you have or may have been exposed to COVID-19. This will help the office protect themselves and other patients.
Thank you for your patience and support,
Dr. Linda S. Murray
