Happy Heavenly Birthday, Logan

Today, we pause with heavy hearts and deep gratitude as we honor the birthday of Firefighter Logan Matthew Jester. Though he is no longer with us, Logan’s spirit continues to shine brightly throughout the Tri-County Joint Fire District, our community, and in the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Logan embodied everything a firefighter strives to be—courageous, selfless, compassionate, and dedicated to serving others. Whether on a call, at the firehouse, or out in the community, Logan brought joy, kindness, and an infectious smile wherever he went. His commitment to helping others and his deep love for the Lord guided everything he did.

Beyond his service, Logan will forever be remembered for his humor, his love of family and friends, and his ability to make any room brighter. From quoting The Office, to cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, to spending time at Ashville Nutrition, the firehouse, Cypress Church, or online with friends, Logan lived every moment with purpose and heart.

Although we miss him dearly, we find comfort in knowing he left an incredible impact on all of us—one that will never fade. Today, on his birthday, we honor his life, his service, and the lasting legacy he leaves behind.

We’re deeply saddened to share the news that Logan has passed. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this terrible time.

Today we got word from Logan's family that he sadly passed away last night. Our hearts are broken, and numb. We lost two of the greatest men we had the honor to know and work with. Logan was an inspiration to many, especially to us at 491. Please keep Logan and Scott's family and friends in your prayers today and the next few days as we prepare to say goodbye one last time.
