URGENT UPDATE: They've begun major roadwork on Venture Drive which is the road our practice is on. We were told that they are going to completely restructure the road and it's an 8 week project. We don't know when it will close but it will be completed in two phases. We were told that they will close the road in front of our office. So, if they're working on the area closer to the old Big Lots you can still come in from Upper Gilcrist like you've always done. When that section is closed, you'll have to come up the hill from Rural King and drive through the Danbury parking lot to get into our parking lot.
Please call before your appointment so we can update you on how to get here the easiest way. Thanks for your understanding.

One thing I've learned from clinical practice is COMMON and NORMAL are oftentimes NOT THE SAME THING. Ponder on that for a second. Here's a real-world clinical example. It's common not to p**p every day. Guess, what, that's NOT NORMAL!! In case you didn't know, you should go every day. I've heard some say it should be a in total as long as the distance from your elbow to your wrist!! Think about that. Anybody that has had children can appreciate that mental image. who else has an example of COMMON AND NORMAL not aligning.

DUE TO THE CURRENT LEVEL 3 SNOW EMERGENCY, OUR OFFICE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL THE LEVEL 3 IS DROPPED. ONCE THAT HAPPENS, I PLAN TO OPEN THE OFFICE ASSUMING THE PARKING LOT IS PLOWED. I know this is a little late coming. He came home several days after his surgery. I know he was home for Christmas. Praise God for the skilled surgeons and staff at OSU and for God guiding their hands and minds through this surgery.

**POST-SURGERY UPDATE**
We are incredibly grateful to share that Kevin’s surgery went well. The surgeon was able to remove 98% of the tumor, and the procedure was successful in relieving the blockage that was causing concern.

Kevin is safe and doing well following surgery, and we are deeply thankful for God’s care and the skill of the medical team. There will be additional steps ahead as doctors await pathology and determine next steps, and we’ve been encouraged not to speculate at this point.

Please continue to pray for Kevin’s healing, for wisdom for the doctors, and for peace and strength for Kelly and their girls. Thank you for the overwhelming love, prayers, and support.

Kevin is in surgery currently.
The doctors shared multiple possible outcomes, and we are praying specifically that the tumor can be safely and completely removed. The goal of today’s surgery is to remove as much of the tumor as possible and to restore the flow of spinal fluid, which is currently blocked.

Please pray for the surgeon’s wisdom and steady hands, for no complications, and for the best possible diagnosis and outcome. Above all, pray for Kevin’s safety and healing, and for peace and strength for Kelly and their girls during this long and difficult day.

Please be in prayer for Kevin this morning and for his sweet family.

*** FRIDAY AM UPDATE***
Surgery was finally approved by hospital and is on the schedule for this morning - please continue to pray for Kevin, Kelly, the girls, Surgeons and nurses.

***UPDATE*** Many of us are gathering right where we are to pray at 6:30 this evening. Please boldly ask for healing and peace. God hears our prayers! ***

Church family and friends, I want to ask you to please pause and pray with us.

Yesterday, after what was expected to be a routine neurologist appointment, Kevin Lauth was admitted and is scheduled to have emergency brain surgery today. There is obviously a lot of fear and uncertainty in this moment.

Kevin is someone who quietly and faithfully serves as an elder, a preacher, a drummer, and a friend.

Please lift up Kelly and their three girls, asking God to surround them with peace, strength, and comfort. We are trusting the Lord to be near, even when the road ahead is unclear.

Thank you for praying. I’ll share updates as we’re able and when appropriate.

Special hours for Christmas and New Years!!
Next week we will be open normal hours Monday Dec 22nd (9-6), Tuesday Dec 23 1-5, and Christmas Eve Dec 24 9-2. For New Years week we will be open normal hours Monday and Wednesday and then open 9-2 on Friday January 2. Hope everyone has a blessed and joyous Christmas.
