The Mothership Family Village is up and running! Our first group offering is starting this Thursday from 10-12. This is a weekly new parent group. Come make some new mom friends!
We are working on getting groups together including walking groups and due date clubs. We have a cheese making class in March and we will have the first annual Mothership Baby Expo during the Tulip Street Fair. You can stop in to feed your baby, change a diaper, catch your breath during the street fair and learn about local midwives, the Mothership Birth Center, our Naturopath Dr. Heather Almvig, local doulas, and so much more! New batch of Baby Catcher stickers came in! These are for those moms and dads who catch their own babies! Of course we are there to guide and help, but definitely love to support families if they want to catch their own babies.( and of course, if you are that mom whose baby came super fast and your baby was born into yours or dad’s hands on the bathroom floor before you could make it into the Birth Center or before we could make it to you ,you know who you are) this sticker is definitely for you!

When I first bought the business, I thought that it was important to keep the legacy of the Mount Vernon Birth Center. However, over the last few years, I have learned that people associate the name with the hospital and on this anniversary of buying the business three years ago, it’s time to make that separation fully known and clear.
