🌸I swear nobody really prepares you for how much there is to learn about your own body until you’re already dealing with it. Believe it or not, before became a women’s health NP and got comfortable enough to ask my provider questions, I learned the hard way, and from experience. 😩😩

Drop down and get ya KEGEL on GIRL! 😊

The truth is that you can do Kegels every day, anywhere and nobody will know! Not sure how to do them? Let me show you how! 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾

Start with 3 sets of 10–15 reps daily
💪🏾Identify the muscles. Try to stop your urine midstream (that’s your pelvic floor!).
💪🏾Contract those muscles! Squeeze and lift as if you’re holding in gas or stopping your flow.
💪🏾Hold for 3-5 seconds, then relax for 5 seconds.
💪🏾Gradually work up to 10-second holds with 10-second relaxations in between.
💪🏾Breathe normally. Don’t hold your breath or tighten your abs or thighs.

Benefits of Doing Kegels:
✨ Strengthens pelvic floor muscles
✨ Helps prevent bladder leaks
✨ Improves relations and satisfaction
✨ Supports postpartum recovery
✨ Promotes core stability and pelvic health at every age

As with any exercise, start slow and remain consistent. Remember, self care starts from the inside out….literally 🫶🏾💕🪗
