Starting as an acute-care facility in 1956, Rockcastle Regional Hospital has adapted as healthcare needs have changed. In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds and added 28 more beds just 12 years later. Today our Respiratory Care Center facility offers comfortable, professional, long-term care for 93 ventilator-dependent patients, mostly from Kentucky. We care for up to 26 patients in our acute-care facility, including a special care unit for those needing more intensive attention. And, hundreds of patients benefit from our convenient outpatient surgery and services. Our emergency room physicians and staff are available 24 hours a day, ready to address any type of medical crisis. Rockcastle Regional is a not-for-profit healthcare provider that accepts patients from all walks of life- regardless of age, s*x, race, ethnicity, disability, s*xual orientation, type of insurance or ability to pay for services. Our staff cares for patients based on what will best meet their needs, not what is best for the bottom line. You probably know most of our staff members. Not by their lab coats or nametags, but because they are your friends and neighbors.

Emergency Department: Always Open
Hospital: Always Open

QuickCare: Open 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday (Christmas Eve), Closed on Thursday (Christmas)

Outpatient Registration: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
Patients may register for labs and x-rays at the Emergency Department registration desk.

Rockcastle Professional Pharmacy: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
Rockcastle Family Wellness: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
RockPeds: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
Rockcastle Family Dental: Closed all week (Monday-Friday)
Brodhead Family Care: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
Rockcastle Hematology & Oncology Clinic: Closed Wednesday & Thursday
Outpatient Rehabilitation: Closed Wednesday & Thursday

🎅💌 Santa’s Mailbox is OPEN! 📬🎅

It’s time for one of our favorite holiday traditions! Children are invited to write a letter to Santa and drop it off at Santa’s Mailbox located in Rockcastle Regional’s Outpatient Rehab or the Main Lobby — or mail it straight to the North Pole!

To receive a special surprise from the North Pole, please be sure to include your child’s name, age, and return address.

In 1980, Rockcastle Regional opened its first long-term care unit with 32 beds and added 28 more beds just 12 years later. In 2009, Rockcastle Regional again saw a growth of 14 beds. In Summer 2017, another 28 beds were added to our Respiratory Care Center. As the nation’s largest free-standing ventilator facility, we offer comfortable, professional, long-term care for a total of 127 ventilator-dependent patients, mostly from Kentucky.

We care for up to 26 patients in our acute-care facility, including a special care unit for those needing more intensive attention. And, hundreds of patients benefit from our convenient outpatient surgery and services.

Our emergency room physicians and staff are available 24 hours a day, ready to address any type of medical crisis.
