"Lisa is an extraordinary nurse and manager. Her kind heart makes her one of the best. She always goes above and beyond for all her patients and staff. I have only witnessed her show compassion, patience, and kindness towards every patient that she has had an interaction with. One day, she walked me through the surgery paperwork as a patient, taking her time and answering all my questions thoroughly. She made me feel more at ease about the entire thing. "I would like to take a moment to acknowledge one of your outstanding nurses who recently provided care to my mother. Abby delivered exceptional care to my mother, showcasing her nursing expertise and demonstrating a high level of professionalism. Her communication skills were exemplary, always making herself available to address our questions and concerns, providing empathy, and displaying compassion in all her interactions.

Critical thinking skills are essential, and she effectively utilized these skills, which is a rare attribute. She even assisted the aide with repositioning my mother in bed and changing her linens as needed.

Moreover, she never displayed a superiority complex. In light of this, our family would like to nominate this Nurse for the Daisy Nurse Award."

Did you know, your placenta can save lives? Through Lifeline of Ohio's Placenta Donation Program, KCH is proud to announce its 100th Placenta Donation. Patients who have donated through our system have created approximately 2,500 healing grafts, allowing procedures to be done, including eye, oral, and spine surgery, and for treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, and burns.
