😁 We had the best day welcoming eight wonderful 8th graders from Mount Vernon Christian School!

Mrs. Martin and their chaperone, Christian, joined them as they spent the day getting to know our residents — and what a joy it was! The morning was filled with friendly competition and lots of laughter as we played Rummikub, Jeopardy, and baseball ⚾, and we wrapped up the afternoon with a lively game of bingo.

✨ Our residents especially loved how the girls joined them for lunch and took the time to truly connect. Their kindness and energy brightened our whole community. A heartfelt thank you to Mount Vernon Christian School for spending the day with us. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!

🌿✨ We had such a wonderful time with Ginger, our new Health & Wellness Director, as she led residents through a hands‑on sensory experience in creating their very own custom tea blends. 🍵🫖 Residents explored the aromas and benefits of each herb, learned how different ingredients work together, and then enjoyed a warm cup of the blend they crafted themselves. It was relaxing, educational, and full of smiles — the perfect combination. We’re already looking forward to next month’s wellness activity with Ginger! 🧘‍♀️🌱

Denise and Robert brought a little New Orleans magic to our community yesterday with a fresh batch of warm, fluffy beignets! ⚜️

Robert has been sharing stories from his trips to the Big Easy, so we decided to bring a taste of that beautiful Cajun charm right here to Skagit County. They were easier to make than we expected, and the best part was watching both residents and staff enjoy every last bite. 😋

What happens when you turn the Fireside Room into a giant Monopoly board? Pure joy! 🎲 Bert, Wendy, Robert, Nancy, and Shirley rolled the oversized dice, made bold property grabs, and kept the energy high in our speed‑round version of the game. Congrats to Shirley, who out‑strategized us all! 🤩

🌟 We had such a fun afternoon learning (and re‑learning!) how to play pinochle, thanks to our amazing family member, Janelle!

She jumped right in to teach our new players and give the rest of us a much‑needed refresher. ♥️♠️♦️♣️ We’re excited to keep the cards flying and the laughter going. Thank you, Janelle, for sharing your time and your talent.

Our residents got hands‑on and brought a burst of spring indoors with their own salt shaker bouquets! 🧂💐 They designed colorful button flowers to brighten their rooms and show off their creativity. Such a simple project, but the smiles were anything but small. 😊

Socorro, Nancy, Ann, and Janet rolled up their sleeves and tried a brand‑new way to dye Easter eggs — shaving cream and food coloring! 🥚🎨 It was delightfully messy, wonderfully creative, and the results were some of the most vibrant eggs we’ve ever seen. 💛 Curious what life looks like in a community filled with laughter, color, and connection?
