On Doctor's Day, Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehabilitation would like to give a special shout-out to Dr. Kathryn Lee-Kalsch and Dr. Joseph Lee. We are very blessed to have Dr. Kathryn as our Medical Director. She goes above and beyond for the staff and residents. We are also very thankful to have Dr. Joe as one of our providers who follows his patients from the community through their stay at MVNR and beyond. Thank you both for all you do for the Mt. Vernon Community & Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab!

***Amended Time*** At this time due to the storm being pushed back, we will be opening the Gym at 6pm this evening...

Friends, your Mt. Vernon Fire Department will be opening a Storm Shelter at Hedges Central Gym tomorrow March 15th at 6:00 PM for residents who may need a safe place during the approaching severe weather.

Community members who feel unsafe in their homes—especially those in mobile homes or structures not suitable for severe storms—are encouraged to come to the shelter.

MVFD personnel will be on site to assist and ensure the facility is open and available to anyone needing protection from the storm. We will have water and lite snacks available but please bring any personal necessities that you may need.

Please monitor local weather updates and travel safely if you plan to come.

Your safety is our priority.

Offers non-perishables, baby supplies (when available), and other emergency assistance.
