🚨Turning 65 or enrolling in Medicare this year? Here are [4] important dates that you need to be aware of.
Enrolling in the right Medicare insurance plan, during your initial enrollment period (IEP) is critical. You have limited "guaranteed issue" rights to enroll in the right plan, and avoid medical underwriting.
Make sure to mark your calendar with the following key dates:
1️⃣ Up to 6 months before your 65th birthday:
Choosing the right Medicare Advisor will make the biggest difference! The right agent will explain all of your options, answer all your questions, and take the time to guide you along the right path.
Start evaluating which Medicare Advisor you would like to work with.
The agents guidance will have a huge impact on selecting the right plan, so make sure you choose someone you can trust, and who will be there for you even months and years after you enroll.
2️⃣3 months before your 65th birthday:
Meet with your chosen Medicare Advisor to learn more about the plans that are available to you.
3️⃣1-3 months before your 65th birthday:
Enroll in Medicare if you haven’t already. Your Medicare Advisor will guide you through the process.
4️⃣1-3 months before your 65th birthday:
Finalize your Medicare coverage and take advantage of your “guaranteed issue” rights.
