I would like to address the recent volume of misinformation and speculation circulating about equine insurance. It can be overwhelming to keep up with, and I want to be sure you have clear, reliable information regarding your policy.
If you have any questions about your current coverage, the most direct approach is to call your agent. If your agent is unable to provide clear answers, contact the claims department for coverage questions. As agents, our role is to advocate for our insured clients—not just during uncertain times, but always. If your agent cannot provide answers, that should raise concerns.
For my part, I have held multiple conversations with my underwriters and claims adjusters to guarantee that I am providing my clients with the most accurate and up-to-date information possible.
