🩺✨ White Coat Program: Patient Care Tech Skills in Action! ✨🩺

Our White Coat Program students have had the opportunity to step into the role of Patient Care Techs, focusing on the essential skills that build the foundation of safe, compassionate nursing care.

From obtaining accurate vital signs to providing oral care, hair care, bathing, bedmaking, and assisting with feeding, students practiced the hands-on skills that make a meaningful difference in our patients’ daily comfort and dignity.

To make learning engaging and memorable, we added a fun twist to bedmaking — students were blindfolded while their teammates guided them using clear communication. This activity highlighted the importance of teamwork, trust, and effective communication in delivering safe patient care.

Experiences like these are a vital part of building a strong youth pipeline into healthcare. By exposing students early to real clinical skills and the value of compassionate care, we are helping inspire and prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

These experiences reinforce that every task, no matter how small, plays a vital role in patient outcomes and the overall healthcare experience. We are proud of our White Coat students for their enthusiasm, teamwork, and commitment to excellence. đź’™

Kelsey wins the “I survived” getting to work. Her chariot was dead and needed to be charged. The chariot to get to her 4WD drive. Drove slowly and safely through some snowy roads, climbed up a snow hill and … ta daaaa.
Kelsey made it and classes are ready to go!
