Thomas was born with several CHD and they are LTGA and Ebstein's Anomaly. He has had 3 OHS plus a pacemaker in 7 months. We were and still are hoping to be able to do the complex surgery Double Switch, but we aren't sure. On June 7, 2012, we came to clinic where we were told that Thomas was being admitted and needed a heart transplant as his left ventricle was failing. He had his 4th OHS on June 15, 2012 to remove the PA band. He was listed as a 1a on the transplant list on June 12, 2012. We are here in the hopsital till he gets a heart. It could take several months. Please continue to pray for Thomas and for us as we deal with all of this. We know God will not give us more than we can handle. Thank you again for all the prayers! LTGA means the ventricles and the great arteries are backwards and Ebstein's means the triscuspid valve is lower than normal and leaking which Thomas has had mild leaking for a while till about a year ago when it started leaking very badly. On August 7, 2012, We got Thomas's new heart!!!! He is doing great and will be released from the hospital on Monday 8/20 or Tuesday 8/21 where we will go stay at the Ronald McDonald House to an apartment that they have for transplant families and we will stay there until Thomas has his first heart cath and biopsy on Aug 31. 2012. On July 19, 2013, we moved to outside of Hot Springs, AR in order to be closer to Little Rock and to be closer to Richard's (Daddy) Mom and stepbrother! Daddy got a new job and so we are up here and got us a house! Thomas is the manager of the peewee football team and his brothers are playing football!!
