February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month (TDVAM), when young people across the country focus on advocacy and education to stop dating abuse before it starts. This year’s theme “Real Love Respects” centers around one truth: respect is non-negotiable. Respect is everything, it’s earned, it’s honest, and it never makes you question your worth.
Did you know 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual or emotional abuse from a dating partner before they are an adult? Survivors of teen dating violence are more likely to suffer from symptoms of depression, anxiety, and trauma. Acknowledge Alliance recognizes that teen dating violence affects everyone, and we stand with teens, parents, teachers, friends and our entire community to promote healthy and respectful relationships.
Love is respect
