Sometimes we turn down the lights, turn up the sparkles and crank the music to lose ourselves in the moment, to feel our heart beating and most importantly to practice being calm in the chaos.

Thank you Nikki for bringing your fire, energy and inspiration to our Friday Night Lights event 🎉

Friday, March 6, 2026 from 9.30am – 5.30pm
Redwood City, CA

The Art of Yoga Project (AYP) is hosting their annual trauma-informed training, designed for yoga teachers, school educators, and therapists, and open to anyone who wants to expand their skill set in supporting youth who have experienced trauma.

The training covers:

✅ The Art of Yoga Project’s model of gender-responsive, strength-based, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed mindfulness and creative expression programming

✅ The neuroscience of developmental trauma and sequential intervention informed by the Child Trauma Academy’s Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, which can be adapted to any type of therapeutic programming for youth

✅ How the teen brain functions, pathways into the child welfare and juvenile justice system, and issues facing teens who have experienced trauma including commercial sexual exploitation, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders

✅ Guiding principles of cultural humility as it relates to race, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and how to honor rather than appropriate yoga and mindfulness

✅ Best practices for teaching mindfulness to this specialized population, including how to effectively manage behavioral problems and other classroom challenges

Every now and then, someone says something after class that perfectly captures why we keep coming back.

“I was on the phone with my mom this morning and I told her the day just doesn’t go as well if I don’t start it with yoga.” ~ David

Thank you David for reminding us that the practice doesn’t end when class does, it follows us into our conversations, our routines, and the rhythm of our day.

Happy Wednesday!!

So grateful to welcome the incredible nurses from El Camino into the studio for a private Slow Flow + Restore class 🤍

A small pause to breathe, soften, and receive—because those who give so much deserve deep care too. Thank you for all that you do, on and off the mat. ✨🙏

We’re honored to host Mr. David (David Estes) and Prajna Vieira for a kirtan at Crave on Saturday evening, January 31st. Together, they bring over 25 years of chanting experience and professional musicianship, offering a heart-opening Bhakti kirtan rooted in call-and-response chanting with simple Sanskrit mantras.

With Prajna on harmonium and melodica and David on drum and guitar, they weave rhythm and melody into an immersive, meditative experience that’s both grounding and uplifting, inviting everyone to participate and share in the collective flow.

Sound Bath : Friday Night Reset with Jen

Friday, January 23 from 7:15 - 8:15pm

Jen’s Friday Night Reset: Sound Bath has become one of our most beloved offerings, drawing students for its calming, restorative energy.

This immersive sound bath experience will soothe your nervous system and help you release the stress you’ve been carrying. As you lie comfortably, waves of sound from crystal bowls and other healing instruments wash over you, quieting the mind, easing tension, and guiding you into a meditative state.

No movement required, just arrive ready to relax and reset. It’s the perfect way to transition from the busyness of the week into a calmer, more centered weekend.
