🔍 What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a skilled technique used by trained physical therapists to treat muscle pain, tightness, and movement problems.

It involves inserting very thin, sterile needles into trigger points (tight “knots” in muscles) to:

âś… Reduce pain and muscle tension
âś… Improve blood flow and healing
âś… Restore range of motion
âś… Release trigger points
âś… Improve nerve and muscle function

Dry needling is called “dry” because no medication is injected — the needle alone stimulates the body’s natural healing response.

It’s especially helpful for:
• Chronic or acute muscle pain
• Sports injuries
• Tension headaches
• Neck, back, or joint pain
• Muscle tightness and stiffness
• Temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ)

It’s different from acupuncture — dry needling is based on modern anatomy and neurophysiology, not traditional Chinese medicine.
