To help us provide better care for you when you have questions, concerns, or problems, we are trying to focus the efforts of our staff to where they have the most value. Now that we have a functioning patient portal, patients are able to see their results online as soon as they've been reviewed by your doctor.

Starting February 1st, 2015, we will no longer be calling patients with abnormal results. If lab results are normal, or if there is already a follow up appointment scheduled for them to be discussed, the results will be published to your portal for personal review. Staff and physicians will be calling patients with abnormal results requiring earlier discussion.

We are hoping, praying that no OB/GYNs in the US will have to evaluate any pregnant women at risk for Ebola. But in the rare, unexpected case it should happen, we do have guidelines. Unfortunately, there are definitely risk:

"In addition, pregnant women with Ebola virus disease appear to be at an increased risk for spontaneous abortion and pregnancy-associated hemorrhage. Neonates born to mothers with Ebola virus disease have not survived."

West Africa is currently in the midst of the largest Ebola outbreak in history. Although there have been no Ebola virus disease cases identified in the United States, two U.S. health care workers with Ebola virus disease were medically evacuated from Liberia to the United States in early August 2...

Dr. Amy Teng joined our practice on August 15th of this year. Sharing in my commitment to excellent, personalized care, her arrival allowed for full office and hospital coverage during my maternity leave.

Moving forward, Dr. Teng and myself will be sharing hospital call allowing us each to have some time with our families while allowing patients 99% confidence that when you're in the hospital, you'll be seen by a doctor who knows you.

We will be transitioning to a new practice name: El Camino Women's Medical Group. The change will take place over 2-3 months, so please bear with us as we slowly update our website, social media, and other materials.
