✨1.5 weeks away!✨

Every birth story deserves to be heard.

Not just the baby who was born that day…
but the mother who was born, too.

We’re creating a space where moms can share, reflect, and connect — without judgment, minimizing, or rushing past the experience.

Because the ups and the downs of your birth experience & journey into motherhood don’t just live in your memories. They live in your body, emotions, and identity as a mother.

Join us for this intimate workshop on Saturday 3/21 designed to hold space for the full story. 🤍

Your birth story matters. 🤍

Whether your experience felt empowering, overwhelming, or somewhere in between — it deserves space to be heard and understood.

That’s why Nicole Salge (), Kristina Cofone (), and Carli Fernandez & Alisse Montgomery () came together to create this workshop for you — a supportive gathering for women entering motherhood to learn, reflect, and connect with others navigating the same season of life.

Together we’ll explore the physical, emotional, and feeding aspects of postpartum while creating space for honest conversation and community.

💜 We are so excited to announce our upcoming workshop: Your Birth Story 💜

As women’s health providers, we realized how often we are hearing the same things from many of our patients and clients entering motherhood, yet many of them also feel alone in their experience.

We wanted to create an opportunity for us to share our insights and education with you from a provider lens, facilitate open and judgement-free discussion around your birth experience and personal journey into motherhood, guide connecting breath-work and intentional movement for relaxation and release, and provide you with tangible strategies you can take home and put to use immediately for better physical and emotional regulation.

This workshop is for you if:

🤍 You had a birth that didn’t go the way you imagined
🤍 You feel disconnected from your body
🤍 Feeding isn’t going as planned
🤍 You’re carrying guilt, doubt, or “I should be more grateful” thoughts
🤍 You feel exhausted, overstimulated, or not quite like yourself
🤍 You miss parts of your old life and don’t know what to do with that
🤍 You want a space where you can freely talk about your thoughts and emotions

It’s also for the mom who had a “good” birth… but still feels like something shifted in ways she can’t fully explain.

This workshop is for women who are ready to process their story — not because something went “wrong,” but because becoming a mother changes you.

Both joy and grief can exist at the same time.
You don’t have to hold that alone.

Join us March 21, 10am-12pm, at 8 Brant Avenue in Clark 🤍

TELL ME EVERYTHING 😂

Seriously though, nothing here is TMI. And often times the things you may feel most embarrassed to share are probably super relevant to your plan of care. (I made a rhyme 🙃)

If you’re dealing with pelvic floor issues that you’ve been keeping to yourself - this is your sign to change that. 🤍

DM to set up a free phone consult and see how pelvic floor therapy can help you today! ☎️

If you’re a people pleaser raise your hand 🙋‍♀️🙃

Trust me, I deeply empathize with people pleasing tendencies because that used to be me.

But ladies - please know that in a medical office, whether it’s OB/GYN, urologist, urogynecologist, or pelvic floor therapy - YOU are in full control of assessments or treatments happening to YOUR body.

You always have the right to pause, modify, or stop an exam or treatment at any time if you feel uncomfortable or in pain. Your comfort and sense of safety are not optional - they are essential.

Pushing through pain, especially when you’re already dealing with a pelvic pain condition, can reinforce a protective response from your nervous system. When your body perceives threat or lack of safety, the pelvic floor and surrounding tissues often respond by guarding or increasing tension - which can make healing more difficult, not faster.

Your body heals best in an environment of safety, trust, and respect - and that includes honoring your boundaries.

The right provider will never be frustrated by you advocating for yourself. In fact, it helps them care for you better.

Moving forward, if you ever find yourself in this position, remember that you are allowed to speak up, slow things down, or say no - your body is not something to push through, it’s something to listen to.

Thank you to the crew at for inviting me into your space for a workshop on pelvic health this past weekend!

We talked about what pelvic floor therapists can help with, what a first visit looks like, the anatomy of the entire core “canister” (because while the pelvic floor is of course important, it is part of a larger system!), and we went over strategies to take home and put into practice right away for better long term pelvic health 🙌

I had a blast chatting with everyone afterwards and I’m very grateful that there are so many people out there who are eager to learn more about their pelvic health. Thank you to all of the attendees! It was great to meet you 🤗

*Shared with patient permission

Brief history:
📌Chronic UTIs for many years, though some cultures came back negative for infection
📌Chronic constipation
📌Recent cystoscopy (all clear) & kidney ultrasound for kidney stones (negative) by her urologist
📌Urologist prescribed daily low dose antibiotics to prevent future UTI and a urinary analgesic medication to take with flare ups of bladder pressure and urgency

➡️She did not want to be on these medications indefinitely and sought out pelvic floor therapy

🗓️Patient came in for her pelvic floor therapy initial evaluation in November and has had 5 follow up sessions since

📈Most significant findings upon exam:
▫️Hypermobile hamstrings
▫️Tenderness & tension at proximal hip flexors
▫️Hip abductor & extensor weakness bilaterally
▫️Limited posterior expansion of ribcage with breath & limited thoracic rotation
▫️Pelvic floor muscle tension

💡What did we do to help?

✅Lots of education on bladder function/norms/irritants, hydration, fiber/nutrition for constipation, how pelvic floor tension can contribute to symptoms of urgency or bladder pain, self management strategies to do at home if symptoms flare
✅Manual pelvic floor muscle release
✅Bladder mobilizations
✅Abdominal tissue work
✅Hip flexor, diaphragm & ribcage releases
✅Colon massage
✅Dry needling for nervous system calming
✅Specific exercise prescription to address any strength or mobility deficits we found

⭐️Her frequency of symptoms has reduced significantly, and intensity of “flares” when they happen have also significantly reduced. She has not needed any of the prescribed medications and symptoms continue to improve by addressing her pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. 🎉

*Some patients do need medical intervention at times, but pelvic floor therapy & education on bladder health is such an underrated place to start!
