Look what I made!! Friday outfit for ✅ 🤩 (until I get too hot at least!! 🥵)
I just keep putting out into the world what I needed as kid and what I want kids in larger bodies to hear and know now: “your body isn’t a problem; you can trust your body.”

We protect fat kids
💫 by supporting their secure relationship with their body
⚡️by letting them know diet culture and fat phobia are the problems, not them
✨ by increasing representation of diverse bodies of all sizes and abilities in media
🌙 by making sure their health care providers are informed about or at least open to learning about Health at Every Size and the risks of weight-centric care

The “acetaminophen causes autism” claims from Trump & RFK Jr…. 🚫 Not true. 🚫 Not based on science. 🚫 Harmful to pregnant people. 🚫 Stigmatizing to autistic folks.

This is ableist eugenic garbage dressed up as “news” that is dangerous.

💜 To the pregnant people reading these headlines and feeling scared: you don’t need to “tough it out”, you deserve care, compassion, and accurate information.
 💜 To autistic people seeing your identities framed as something tragic or “caused”: you are not a problem to be solved. You are valuable, whole, and deserve care, compassion & dignity.

washington state associates in social work or marriage and family therapy can get group supervision hours, but folks are welcome to join from anywhere for the community and consultation. details at the link 💖🌱

You know that feeling you get being in a space with other folks who share identities with you? For me, it’s a relaxation, an exhale, a softening. 🥰 It’s invaluable. This spring, I’m offering a supervision group specifically for ✨ fat ✨ therapists.

My supervision groups offer connection, learning, reflection, all in a facilitated, caring environment. We’ll meet weekly for 8 weeks and you’ll receive a group supervision hour for each meeting if you’re a Washington state licensed social work associate or licensed marriage and family therapy associate. But you’re welcome to join regardless of where you live if you’re looking for reflective consultation and a fat liberation focused friendly community. Registration is open now!

It’s been a week. Washington friends, please consider
1. contacting Seattle Children’s re: their decision to preemptively stop doing gender affirming surgeries
2. Contacting your legislators about House Bill 1038 which would prohibit gender affirming care including but not limited to surgeries for minors.
3. Thanking the AG for filing suit against the EO banning federal support of transgender medical care for people under the age of 19.

What a full amazing day 1 ! My Fat Liberation Parenting talk was fantastic! Thanks to all who came, listened, asked questions and shared fat joy! 🤗 Plus, I got to meet .photography and get a cute polaroid and meet so many other brilliant folks that I’ve only known over zoom! Can’t wait for day 2!
