Kenneth (Kenny) A. Thomas 72 of Latrobe passed away peacefully at home on Friday October, 24, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born in Mt Pleasant on July 8. 1953 the son of the late Donald K. and Betty Ann (Sturnick) Thomas who preceded him in death. He was the owner for over 35 years of Professional Detail Supplies . Ken was a veteran of the United States Air Force military police during the Vietnam war. Ken truly loved riding his motorcycle and spending weekends at Deep Creek Lake. Surviving are his siblings; Donna Royer (Michael), Brian Thomas (Edie) and Beth Henry (Dan); nephew, Nevin Thomas; nieces, Amanda Royer, Sarah Hope (Scotty) and Angelina Henry; Daughter Amy Moore-Lisk (Keith) of Ligonier, PA Grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as”pap”; Devlin Walters of Derry, PA who spent so much time with pap working in the yard, going to concerts and just being Pap’s “buddy”; Madelyne Moore and Marissa Moore of Columbus, OH. William P. "Wit", "Zip" Lubovinsky, 82 of Round Top Circle, East Huntingdon Twp.He was born June 1, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Stanley and Mary Barrick Lubovinsky, Sr. Bill was a member of the Visitation Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mt. Pleasant.He was a graduate of the former Hurst High School Class of 1961. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.Bill was a former employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Modulas Corp of Mt. Pleasant from 1967 -1984. He retired as an Assistant Manager from the PA Liquor State Store in Mt. Pleasant with 22 years of service. Bill was a member of the Kosciuzko Club, Mt. Pleasant.Bill is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His daughter: Marcie Jo Keefer and husband Larry of Mt. Pleasant ,Michelle Marquis of Scottdale His Two Step Grandsons Michael and Matthew Marquis, Courtney Cominsky Abraham and Husband Zachary of Fairchance, who William Freda raised. Betty L. Coleman, 77 of Scottdale passed away peacefully with her family by her side at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Betty was born September 22, 1947 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late James C. and Catherine Overly Brock. Betty Graduated with honors from the Greensburg Institute of Technology. She was employed by General Electric Corp as a field Engineer. She is survived by her daughter Robin Nicholson and her husband Terry of Mt Pleasant; Grandchildren, Brittany Halley, Lacey Andrews and her husband Steven of Weaver, Alabama and Haley Nicholson and sisters Zaneth Brock of Sandusky, OH and Janice Smith and her husband, Scott of Berlin Heights, OH; she is also survived by her ex-husband, Robert Coleman of Acme. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter Wendy Halley, a grandson, Joe Halley and a brother James R Brock. James Copeland Lozier, "Uncle Jim" to many, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at the age of 90. Born on August 22, 1934 to William Henry Lozier and Edythe Copeland Lozier, in recent years, Jim resided in South Greensburg but in his heart, he was a life-long resident of Mount Pleasant. He graduated from Ramsey High School, Class of 1952; Grove City College (BA History) and the University of Pittsburgh (M. Ed.). Beginning in 1956, Jim taught Social Studies at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville. In 1967 he was a founder and then long-time Board Member of the Franklin Regional School System's Credit Union. After retiring he took many great vacations with family and friends. His passion for family genealogy, history, and deep love for Mount Pleasant led him to devote many fun years to the Mount Pleasant Historical Society. He was intimately involved in the relocation and er****on of two authentic log cabins on Washington Street creating a permanent home for
the for the Historical Society. "Jim was named the Citizen of the year by the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant. Jim was a proud 32nd Degree Mason. He was a devoted long-term
caregiver and supporter for family members as they aged, including his Grandmother Sadie Ridenour Lozier.
These wonderful testaments aside, Jim Lozier's two greatest loves were his many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, and his well-known "Cabin" in Laurelville. From 1955 until he became ill, Jim Lozier sustained and nurtured his Cabin as a refuge for family and friends for 70 years. As for family, Jim was simply the Greatest Uncle Ever! He will forever be remembered as the "Fun Uncle" loved by all.
Jim Lozier is survived by his brother, Lt. Col. William E. Lozier (US Army Ret.); nephews William (Rose) Lozier of Florence NJ; David (Beth) Lozier, Esq. of Chippewa; Nieces, Amy Lozier of Roeland Park KS; Marianne (Sam) Sowell of Harrison City; Linda Lozier of Greensburg; Great Nephews John (Katie) Adams of Carbondale CO; David Kephart of Kansas City KS; Great Nieces Katie (Ryan) Lozier of Philadelphia; Sarah (Derek) Lozier of Chippewa; and Rebecca (Tim) Lozier of University Heights OH. Jim's cousins, and cousins­ in-laws, are many, including Copelands, Spencers, Whetsels, Ridenours, Crawfords, and Posters. Jim saw each and every one as an intimate part of his life and legacy. The same goes for his close hunting buddies at the Ahlborn-Lessman-Degentesh Camp in Benezette.
The family wants to recognize and thank Jim's loving caregivers from Home Instead and the Rehabilitation Nursing Center in Greensburg. Eleanor J. Poorbaugh, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Easy Living Estates in Hunker. Eleanor was born on June 11, 1937, in New Kensington, the daughter of the late Oliver S. and Hazel L. Mitchell McConnell.

She was a longtime member of Paradise Church, where she participated in the Sunshine Circle and served as a Sunday School teacher for the Faithful Friends Sunday School Class.

Eleanor is survived by a daughter, Denise Sperry, and her husband Michael of Mifflintown, PA; sons Darryl Poorbaugh and his wife Jennifer, and Donald Poorbaugh and his wife Linda, both of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jason Sperry and his wife Ariane, Ben Sperry and his wife Casey, Nick Sperry and his wife Kristen, Nathan Poorbaugh and his wife Jenna, Larissa Bukovac and her husband Johnny, Nicole Hough and her husband Jeremy, DJ Poorbaugh and his wife Kaitlin, Justine N**o and her husband Devin, Cody Poorbaugh and his wife Lexi, and Lauren Savage-Poorbaugh and her wife Kara.

She is also survived by the loves of her life-her great-grandchildren: Emmie, Franny, Hudson, and Cullen Sperry; Tyler and Mia Martin; Amelia and Camri Poorbaugh; Kaia and Knox Bukovac; Nayvie, Teagan, and Suttyn Hough; Brantley and Bristol Poorbaugh; Gabriel and Camden (on the way) N**o; and Tatum Poorbaugh.

Eleanor is also survived by her brother, Oliver R. “Bob” McConnell, and his wife Marilyn; her sister, Barbara A. Ackerman (and her late husband Ray).

In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Lee Roy Poorbaugh, in 2007.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, July 23, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Slater-Rega Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., 730 W. Main Street, Mt. Pleasant. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Paradise Church, 105 Hoke Road, Mt. Pleasant, where services will follow at 11 a.m. All guests are asked to meet at the church.

Interment will follow at Green Ridge Memorial Park. A luncheon will be held at Paradise Church following the interment.
