For this year’s Food Allergy Awareness Week (May 11-17), FARE is asking people to spread the word about food allergy myths and facts. Here is an important reminder on the importance of identifying even small traces of allergens in meals and snacks.

🔸 Myth: A tiny amount of allergen won’t cause a reaction.
✅ Fact: Even trace amounts of a food allergen can cause a serious reaction in sensitive individuals. Cross-contact and mislabeled foods pose real risks.
