This week is Mental Illness Awareness Week ( Oct. 5-11 )

Mental health matters — every day, for everyone.
When we speak openly about our struggles, we remind others that it’s okay to not be okay. Healing happens in community — through connection, compassion, and understanding. 💚

Let’s keep showing up for one another, listening without judgment, and creating spaces where it’s safe to be real.

Together, we can end the stigma and remind each other:
✨ You are seen.
✨ You are valued.
✨ You are not alone.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month. Please know that if you are struggling, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! The statistics are staggering. It is estimated that 800,000+ people die by su***de each year. Su***de can be prevented. But first we need to get rid of the stigma around mental health issues. Mental illness stigma comes in many forms. Exclusion, silence, and labeling, just to name a few. Stigma causes people to feel ashamed about things that are not in their control. It prevents people from seeking help when they desperately need it. Although there has been an improvement on reducing stigma, we need to raise our voices and STAND UP to the stigma that still exists. I will spend September posting information, support, and resources to help those who need it. If you need help, or know someone who does, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or another mental health professional. If you need to talk, I’m here to listen. Know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE . . .
