Pivotal Physical Therapy

Pivotal Physical Therapy Pelvic Health Physical Therapy serving women of Muncie, Indiana and surrounding counties

While running reports last week, I realized Pivotal had quietly reached a milestone - 725 patient visits. It's not an astronomical number, but it holds a lot of weight, and caused my breath to catch for a moment in my throat.

That number is so much more than appointments on a calendar. It represents growing a business while raising my family - two worlds woven together in a balance that is often very humbling. It represents important conversations about often-taboo topics, stories shared with trust, celebrations, and sometimes tears (both patients' and mine!). It reflects women showing up for themselves in brave ways and allowing me to walk alongside them for part of their journey.

I’m so grateful to every patient who has trusted me with their care, and to the colleagues and friends who trust this work enough to send their people my way. That kind of trust I will never take lightly.

725 - it's a humbling number. And one I'm excited to watch grow.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to be a small part of your journey. 💙

I am not exaggerating when I say that Brianne Kelly at Physical Therapy has changed my life.

Out of deep respect for the body and the incredible medical practice Brianne has built, I want to keep this grounded, educational, and accessible — because this is work that deserves to be taken seriously at every age and stage of life.

A few things I learned through pelvic floor therapy at Pivotal that completely reshaped my understanding of the body:

• The vocal cords and pelvic floor originate as part of the same “tube” during embryonic development, eventually forming two of the body’s primary sphincters. They remain connected through shared fascial lines.
• Leg muscle health is directly correlated to pelvic floor function.
• The pelvic floor is a working group of muscles that must be both strengthened and lengthened regularly — just like the rest of the body — not simply “held” or ignored.

A bit of personal context (for those who appreciate real-life experience over theory):

After pregnancy, prolonged bed rest, and weeks of early contractions that required medication to stop, my pelvic floor spent far too much time in a constant state of contraction. Over time, I lost my ability to properly engage and release those muscles. Digestive rhythm, muscle control, and overall pelvic awareness became severely restricted — much like my chronic jaw tension, but deep within the core of the body.

What Brianne provided was not just treatment — it was education, safety, and a practical roadmap back to function.

The tools, schedules, and small daily practices she introduced have created massive, measurable change in my quality of life. The progress has been profound, sustainable, and empowering.

Whether you are dealing with incontinence, pain, prolapse, preparing for pregnancy, recovering postpartum, or simply want to understand how your body is meant to function before life places strain on these systems — this work matters.

The pelvic floor supports organs that do extraordinary things: bleeding, birthing, and eliminating waste. These systems deserve knowledge, care, and skilled guidance.

I cannot recommend Brianne Kelly and Pivotal Physical Therapy highly enough. This is life-altering work delivered with professionalism, intelligence, and deep respect for the human body.

The real haunted house? Outdated pelvic health advice. From "just do kegels" to accepting leaking as a right of passage, the advice can be truly scary! 👻

Pelvic floor therapy is more than generic, one-size-fits-all treatment - it's a personalized, whole-body approach to your health. 💪

Last weekend, I was able to attend The Climb, hosted by Muncie Maternal Health Coalition through Postpartum Support International, as a vendor and participant.

Proud to support the incredible work being done for perinatal mental health awareness in our community.

Had extra 'helpers,' as my kids tagged along - teaching the next generation the importance of supporting families from the start.

May is Women’s Health Month — and this is your reminder: you are worth taking care of. 💜

As a physical therapist serving women, I see firsthand how often women delay care—because we’re busy, tired, caring for others, or simply used to putting ourselves last.

And as a mom, I get it. Between the schedules, the mental load, and the “just push through it” mindset, self-care can easily slide to the bottom of the list.

But your health isn’t optional.
It’s essential.

✨ This month, let this be your nudge to:
✔ Schedule your yearly check-up
✔ Follow up on that nagging symptom
✔ Ask the questions you've been putting off
✔ Reconnect with your body and what it needs

Whether you're navigating postpartum, perimenopause, pelvic pain, or just want to feel stronger and more supported—you deserve care that empowers you.

You are not an afterthought. You are the foundation. And you are worth it. 💙
