Strab-what-mus?! 🧏‍♀️

Strabismus is a condition where the eyes are pointing in different directions. It's most common in children under 6, and is often due to muscle dysfunction, farsightedness, or neurological issues. This can unfortunately cause double vision, eye strain and/or fatigue which also often cause headaches, and compensatory movements like tilting of the head or closing one eye. 🫣

There are several methods for treatment for this type of issue including glasses, contacts, patch therapy, vision therapy, and even eye muscle surgery! Notice this type of eye movement in someone you know? Encourage them to have their annual comprehensive vision exam to talk to their doctor about the best treatment option for them! 🥰
