Congratulations Alicia Hines, Cook, our Quest for Excellence winner for 2025! We are looking forward to honoring this year's outstanding Quest Winners at the banquet on November 13 at the Marriott in Indianapolis.
Alicia has been a cherished part of our Culinary Department for nearly 9 years, beginning as a culinary aide and advancing to her current role as a cook. Known for her unwavering dedication to “her” residents, Alicia is always willing to step in wherever she is needed, ensuring the department runs smoothly and residents receive the very best.
Cooking is more than a job for Alicia; it’s her passion and her gift to the residents she serves. She takes pride in preparing meals that not only taste delicious but also provide vital nutrition, support good health, and bring joy to daily life. Alicia believes that food is more than sustenance; it is comfort, connection, and a source of happiness, and she strives to create that experience for every resident at every meal.
Her coworkers admire her positive spirit and her ability to consistently perform at her best, while residents and families appreciate the warmth and care she pours into her work. The Culinary Manager shared that it is a joy to work alongside Alicia, as her commitment shines through both on the plate and in the heartfelt compliments she receives from residents.
Beyond her role at Waters Edge, Alicia enjoys spending time with her children, riding bikes together, and supporting them in their many school sporting events. Her dedication to her family mirrors the same love and care she shows to our community, making her an extraordinary part of Waters Edge Village.
