Enola “Nola” Dilley Ziegler, 104 passed away at home on February 12, 2026. She was born October 11, 1921 in Hardyville, but lived most of her adult life in Louisville. Nola was as kind as she was big hearted and was always ready to lend a helping hand. At 97, she moved to Glasgow to spend her final years with two of her nieces. They, along with her loving Hosparus Health team, took care of Nola.
Nola was, first and foremost, a devoted member of the Gethsemane Baptist Church for over 70 years.
She was an employee of the Old Louisville Pottery for several years. Then she retired from GE Appliance Park after 32 years of service.
On April 25, 1942, Nola married Fred “Buck” Lyman Ziegler in St. Louis, Missouri during a double wedding ceremony with her cousin Della Dilley, who married Goldie Pigram. Buck and Nola remained married until his death in 1981.
In addition to her husband Buck, Nola was preceded in death by her beloved nephew, Daniel Kendrick Cave, whom she raised as her own. Also, her parents, Carl Ray Dilley and Sallie Ann Goshen Dilley and all ten of her siblings. These include brothers: Baby Boy Dilley, Ray Dilley, Daymond Dilley and Bernard Dilley; and sisters: Carrie Lee Jolly, Velma Bailey, Mary Dilley, Rosie Dilley, Naomi Rigney, and Maggie Jean Coffey.
Nola is survived by her son Timothy Fred Ziegler(Angela), five granddaughters Jaime Daigneau(Buster), Tara Ziegler(Chris Fuentes), Cecilia, Francesca, and Willow Ziegler; and two great-grandsons Theo and Arlo Fuentes, all of Orlando, FL.
Other survivors include: her nieces that served as her caregivers Karen Kerney and Sandy Huff; niece-in-law, Kathy Burd; great-nieces: Shannon Broome, Kim Daniels and Kelsi Adams. These wonderful women were a tremendous support for Nola and her caregivers. Other family members include Tracy Wright, Melissa Thomas, Kasi Lancaster, Sue Sharp, Dean Bush and a nephew Ronnie Dilley.
Visitation is 12pm (CST) Wednesday, February 18th with the service starting at 2pm (CST) at Sego Funeral Home, Munfordville. Marty Edwards of the Munfordville Church of Christ, will preside. An additional service will be held in Louisville at the Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd., at 2pm (EST) on Thursday, February 19th. Dale Holcomb of the Gethsemane Baptist Church, will preside.
