🌿 This Week’s Wellness Win 🌿

At Americare, wellness is a way of life creating purpose and fulfillment at every age 💛

Activity: Residents participated in a creative arts and crafts session making “God’s Eye” crafts using yarn and sticks.

Story: This activity allowed residents to follow patterns, focus on weaving techniques, and express creativity through color choices and design. As they wrapped the yarn around the sticks, they engaged in problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and concentration. The “God’s Eye” craft also sparked conversation about its cultural meaning and symbolism, encouraging learning and reflection. Overall, the activity supported cognitive stimulation while providing a calming, creative outlet that residents truly enjoyed.

Celebrating a little late but still full of flavor ☘️✨ Our Irish Loaded Nachos were a hit with the residents warm, hearty, and absolutely delicious! Just because St. Patrick’s Day has passed doesn’t mean the fun (and good food) has to stop. Today was all about enjoying something festive together, sharing smiles, and turning a simple dish into a moment worth celebrating 💚

At Americare, Wellness isn’t a program – it’s a way of life. Through Flourish Wellness, we create opportunities for residents to live with vitality, meaning, and personal fulfillment at every age and ability level.

Dimension of Wellness: Intellectual

Activity: Residents participated in themed Bingo games where they filled in their own answers based on topics like spring and the month of March before gameplay began.

Story: This activity encouraged residents to think creatively, recall seasonal knowledge, and make meaningful connections as they tried to match answers with others to achieve Bingo. By “thinking alike,” residents engaged in critical thinking, memory recall, and social awareness. Multiple themed rounds kept their minds active and stimulated, while also creating a fun and interactive environment that promoted cognitive engagement and connection with one another.

Noodle balloons had everyone up, moving, and smiling today 🎈💪 Residents used pool noodles to tap and keep the balloons in the air, turning a simple activity into a fun and energizing way to stay active. It was full of laughter, friendly competition, and a great reminder that movement can be both beneficial and enjoyable at any age 💛
