On this quiet Sunday, we are reminded that grace does not rush. It restores. Healing rarely happens all at once. It unfolds in small, steady steps… a conversation, a shared meal, a safe place to land, a moment of believing “maybe I can start again.”

At The Sweet Addiction, we see those moments every day. Women rebuilding their lives. Families finding their way back to one another. Confidence returning. Purpose awakening. Hope taking root where despair once lived.

✨ New Year, New Strength ✨

As the world counts down to a fresh start, we are celebrating the women who have already begun theirs.

This past year, our kitchen has been filled with more than the aroma of cinnamon rolls and pot roast. It has been filled with courage, the kind that whispers, “I am not who I used to be… and I am becoming someone stronger.”

One of our participants shared that this is her first New Year’s Eve in recovery.
No parties.
No chaos.
Just peace, purpose, and a community that believes in her future.

She said, “For the first time, I am stepping into a new year with hope instead of fear.”

That is what The Sweet Addiction is all about. We create a place where women can rebuild, rediscover, and rise.

As we welcome 2026, we honor every woman choosing healing over hurt, growth over guilt, and community over isolation. Their stories remind us that recovery is not a moment. It is a movement.

✨ Because of YOU, 35 of our neighbors experiencing homelessness felt the warmth of Christmas this year. ✨
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, The Sweet Addiction’s Outdoor Angel Program was able to bless each person with items from their very own wish lists.
Most requested were warm clothes, hoodies, socks, and thermals, essentials to face the winter with dignity and comfort. Others asked for coats, jeans, boots, and gift cards for food, while some wished for basic tools, tents, and batteries.
Every gift, big or small, carried hope and reminded our community members that they are seen, valued, and loved. 💙
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this season brighter. Together, we are changing lives, one act of kindness at a time.
